What is a true eclectic to do when her passions lead her in different directions?
This is a blog for the unfocused, the round pegs in the square holes, the short-attention span types, and all those who just can't bring themselves to join the ranks and adhere to a single category of activities or interests...whether sketches, drawings and comics, fixing an old farmhouse in Oregon, or whatever else strikes my fancy.

Oh, the haunted houses... (ca. 10-08)

Here is a fun little découpage project, a house from my imagination.
In pyschoanalytic terms, houses are believed to be symbolic of the self. They represent the psychological extension of our identity, our innermost self.

  1. I have always had houses in my dreams--often upstairs is off bounds, whatever that means...I don't know how you did this but it works! EJM

  2. Wonderful haunted house! You know I dream about houses often - sometimes my own house only with more rooms that I didn't know were there - hmmm...

  3. You might google house as a symbol in dreams, it is really amazing. I have them all the time and they are the most amazing of all my dreams. Another good reference is Betty Bethards' book on dreams.

  4. So then what does it say about you when the houses you dream are old, from the Craftsman period, and the more spooky and dark the more happy the dream? Then, all of a sudden, you see the kitchen decked out in 80's oak and orange laminate? (hear that Psycho knife plunging music?) Heh heh.
